TLDR

It’s not easy to conduct reproducible research. It’s manual. It’s tedious. Is it the right thing to do? Of course. But it doesn’t always pass the cost-benefit. Sometimes it’s easier to do the quick and dirty thing. We get it.

So instead of doing the tedious thing or doing the guilty thing, outsource the documentation and the best practices to us. We’ll make sure that:

• Your variable names follow the proper conventions
• That your data imports are validated
• That everything is logged
• And that your analysis is reproducible. No coding required.

That way, you can focus on your ideas and analysis.

What problems are you solving?

👎 Current tooling does not enable the level of version control that is required of scientific integrity.

🤖 Most research is not machine readable.

👯‍♀️ As such, research is not reproducible (even for the person who conducted the research just 6 months prior).

🧽 Researchers waste time with data cleaning and logistics instead of focusing on idea generation and analysis.

What is TrovBase…like…actually?

We’re a straightforward interface built on top of an industry standard database (i.e., Postgres).

Here’s what TrovBase does:

1. Helps you configure your dataset in the best practice way. We won’t let you do anything “bad.”
2. Makes sure that when you enter data into the dataset that it’s validated (basically, we make sure the dataset is clean).
